We apologize that you did not have an enjoyable experience based on these factors, we wish we could appeal to everyone but the one thing we have figured out in the last 25 years is simply that you cannot. We are aware some of our guests, such as yourself, are opposed to smoking but we try to keep it on the porch where there is far less traffic rather than in other areas of the park that are frequented more consistently by children. However, please keep in mind that she was in the designated smoking area. Also in regards to the smoking issue, we apologize if you thought our employee was rude. Although we always put our best foot forward to offer the best customer service possible some times we falter, everyone has a bad day now and then. Please keep in mind that operating a business, especially one such as ours, with a small staff can prove difficult at times. We apologize that you did not have the most pleasant encounters with our staff on your last visit. Safari is great, but avoid the people who apparently own it. Needless to say we left immediately without buying anything and won't be back. Pretty neat seeing as how there were tiny kids EVERYWHERE. I'm 6 months pregnant and had my kid so we were trying to go quickly and my sister said 'I can't believe they let them smoke right here.' Clearly, the girl heard her because she snapped 'this is MY family's business and we are too busy for me to take a smoke break so I can smoke right here!' Towards the end, my sister, who is visiting, and I took my 2 year old to get souvenirs from the gift shop.there was a younger girl smoking by the door and the entire picnic area and gift shop smelled horrible. Afterwards, we parked and walked around to see everything. I smiled and was polite and we had a great time. We have taken our 2 year old and multiple friends and family many times and always have a great time! This time, the sweet Asian lady who was always there was gone and I bought our tickets from an unpleasant lady who seemed irritated that it was busy on a Monday.even though it is spring break and business should be a good thing.
